Health is One is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to make our website (https://healthisone.co.uk/) usable, understandable and navigable by people of diverse abilities.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Our ongoing goal is to meet or exceed these standards in all new content and features.
To support an inclusive experience, our site implements:
Semantic HTML and correctly structured headings (H1–H6) for improved screen-reader navigation
Alt text on all meaningful images and decorative-image hiding for clarity
Keyboard accessibility for menus, forms and interactive elements
Color contrast at or above WCAG AA ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
Visible focus indicators on links and form controls
Descriptive link text that makes sense out of context
ARIA roles and properties where needed to enhance accessibility
Despite our efforts, some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
We continuously monitor and improve these areas as part of our accessibility roadmap.
Our website team conducts regular accessibility audits using automated tools and manual testing
